Life In Manipal

Its been a long time since i last posted anything here...at first i nvr had a good connection...then i never had much time to actually sit and type stuffs...life as a medical student is tough...there is a lot to study and to know about the human body...when i first came here it was very difficult as i missed home very much and wasnt used to the new environment...but as time went on, i made lots of new friends from all over malaysia...n even from other parts of d world...i have lots lots of good friends here...n not forgeting my brother is also here...as for studies, there is a lot of things to learn...continous studying must be done always...there are lots of photos i like to upload but unfortunately i dont have my phone cable with me...i will  be back around august....so don miss me too mcuh...i will be back soon!!

Time to leave!

After about a year of lazying around and doing practically nothing, the time has finally come for me to go to college to further my studies. I'm looking forward to start my new life as a medical student but unfortunately i have to go far away to study. I will be studying at Melaka Manipal Medical College where i'll be in india for two and the half years and the remaining two and the half years in Melaka. Its hard for me to leave home for the first time as i'm going to miss all my family and friends. The journey to manipal isn't an easy one. First i will have to take a flight from KL to Banglore. After staying a night there, i will fly to manglore . From there a bus will pick us up to the college. The whole travelling time is roughly 8-10 hours which is almost half a day. once arrived, i will register myself to the hostel and college n other stuffs. Class will begin after all the registration has been done. Then its all about studying the great human body! 

I will really miss all my family and friends back home. but i'll be back very soon. Every 6 months to be exact. So don't miss me too much!! 

Death of A Friend

Today was not a very happy day for me as a friend of mine had passed away. His name is Surender Raj. He is a year younger than me and we studied in the same school together. We had great memories together. His death was a shocking news for me. He met with an accident early this morning on the way to his college. It was a tragic news to everyone especially for his family. Me and my friends decided to go to his house later that evening. Upon the arrival to his house, we met a lot of our old school friends, some we never met in years! Unfortunately, it was a sad reunion. Suren's body finally arrived at his home in a van. The coffin was slowly carried out from the van and into his house. Many were in tears. I've never imagined even in my wildest of dreams that a friend of mine would be brought in a casket. Once put inside, everyone went inside to have a look and say their final words and prayers. It was really sad to see many of Suren's family members bursting out in tears especially his parents who were completely devastated. We wished our condolences to their family and then left.

Suren was a great friend to me and all my friends. Together we had great memories that will be forever treasured in our hearts.You will always be remembered in our hearts. My deepest of condolences to his family. May his soul Rest In Peace.  

1992-2011

TBC charity health walk

the health walk is another event of the tbc...the official day of the event is actually on the 1st of may which is on labour day. this walk is only a rehearsal for the actual day. it was only for the members of tbc. the walk was held in the evening, where all of us gathered at the field in the taman at about 6pm. once everyone arrived, we started our walk to the paddy fields. all of us were excited and were chatting away while walking..it was quite enjoying. In the end, we covered about the distance of 5km in the paddy fields.

The day ended with dinner at my house. food was nasi lemak which was prepared by aunty celie.

food was delicious. in the end everything went on well and everyone is waiting for the actual day.

Camping At Pantai Kerachut

Our trip to Pantai Kerachut was an awesome one. Everything went on smoothly and it was fun. It all began on the morning of the 8th of February. I woke up at 6am. and got ready. Uncle Christopher Lau with Eric picked me , Emmanuel and Jonathan at 7 in the morning. Off we went to penang. We went to a hawker stalls for breakfast

We parked the car on the other side of the road.So we had to cross a very busy road to get to the hawker stalls. However, me emmanuel and uncle managed to cross the road quickly leaving behind eric and jonathan. It took them about 5-10 minutes to cross the road!

Pantai kerachut beach is a part of the Penang National Park.We reached the national park at about 9am. we took out things and went to the main building to register ourselves..

Once registered, we had two options to get to the beach, one was going by boat or hiking. We chose to hike there as it the boat ride was expensive. It took about an hour and half of hiking to reach the beach.

Hiking was actually fun. We got a little closer to nature, breathing the fresh air,listening to the sounds of the jungle. But it was quite tiring as we were carrying our bags and tents, and the climbing can be tiring. But the view can be beautiful at times.

We eventually reached the beach after about an hour and a half. The tiring hike was all worth it in the end as the view was beautiful! The sand was white and soft and the water was so clean. The only dissapointment was the meromectic lake. It was all almost dried up.

  Once we were there, we went to the campsite and started unpacking our things and putting up the tents. We put up to tents, one for uncle and eric n the other for me, jon and emmanuel.

After putting up the tents, we had out lunch. Lunch was the food that we packed for the trip.Just simple foods like bread, can foods and instant noodles. once filling our stomachs, we headed to the jetty to go fishing. None of us have any fishing experience besides uncle chris. He gave us fishing lessons and soon we began fishing. At first it was quite difficult as it needs lots of patience and the weather did not help us in any way either as it was hot! But soon we got the hang of it and we cought a couple of fish. we caught a lot of  puffer fish. Unfortunatelly, those kind of fish were not edible as they were poisonous. We did caught some other fish as well like swordfish, 'ikan gelama' and a few more. Fishing was fun as it was a new experience for everyone.

Something you dont see everyday!!

well...this is something you dont see everyday....i was watching an arsenal match in what would normally be ordinary match...but it turned out to be a goal fest!..arsenal played with newcastle united in the BPL...arsenal were leading in the first half by 4 goals!....and i thought d game is probably won by arsenal...unfortunately, that was not the case...it all started from a red card to arsenal...and then goal after goal came in like it was nothing...d game ended with as a draw!...credit to the magpies though...they played well in the second half...the newcastle fans were cheering for them so hard even when they were four goals down...i guess that was the reason for their amazing comeback!...eventhough i was annoyed with the scoreline, the lost of manchester managed to console me a bit...its was a super match though if ur a newcastle fan or a neutral....above is the video of all the goals of the night....next up is super sunday where chelsea faces a rejuvenated liverpool side...hope thats a cracker!..
